Relying on the little white book I am running in two directions here, is it good or bad to rely on the little white book? And the answer would be "both".You have to first understand what it is you are reading, or maybe better put; whose opinion you are reading. Every deck has been made by some one, and that someone had an idea, an inspiration, a vision with his or her deck. They put their heart, soul and believes in the cards. The little white book is your tool to get the insight of what was going on when the deck was created. Opinions and interpretations from the creator of the cards. Reading books about tarot, even these pages you are reading right now, has been written by a human being; a person with believes, convictions, opinions and the gut to tell you as if they were the whole truth and nothing but *grin*. Should you rely completely on what we say? No! Use us (read writers) and the books as a tool - a tool to build up your own believes, convictions, opinions and the gut to tell us as if they were the whole truth and nothing but. When you are reading your cards - a book tells you "there is a goat in the picture" and you feel "no, I see a mountain and sky" - then you are the one with the truth. Do not let your self be intimidated by books and other peoples opinions - make your own. Remember first and only rule to tarot, and you will do fine *S*
