Beginner's Manual - lesson 2:

What is tarot about?

Tarot is a tool used for inner search and guidance in how to get the best out of life. It is used as a tool to seek truths and reveal hidden corners of darkness in our questions of how and why in life.

Whether it is our life, love life, career, condition of our pets - children - parents, health or yes even lottery numbers ;-) tarot will give guidance and show possible maybe well known alternatives or maybe hidden alternatives that enable us to make the decision we need to in life.

Foremost tarot is a mirror to our inner thoughts and feelings.

Learning tarot is also getting to know your self, one of the greatest gifts you will receive reading tarot is the chance for developing your intuition, rely on your gut instinct and boost your self confidence.

It requires no prior skills, you do not have to be psychic or familiar with ghosts, healing or other branches of alternate life styles - to these people tarot too is a tool - just as you are about to make it one of yours.

Tarot is no crystal ball - you will find many readings giving a prediction on the future or a possible outcome. And you will find that they seem to come true - what you need to understand is, that you are the one making the prediction come true, you also have it in your powers to decide whether or not you want it to happen.

Tarot, can never out rule your own freedom of choice. It can show you different directions, help you see and understand what these directions hold and then make your own decision to what seems to be the best for you.

Tarot does not have a mind of its own, though you will find your self believing that at one point of your learning - trust you are the boss. Tarot is just cards of carbon, you are the one putting in the spirit.

Basically it is about looking at the illustrations, trusting your instincts, telling what you see in the cards and refer it to the situation or person you are reading for, others or your self.

Next: What kind of deck should I have?
